These types of restorations are done as the product we sourced is already in good, very good or excellent condition and does not warrant a full restoration. A full restoration for Upholstery is the as light restoration however for more complex furniture which includes moulded pieces, ones with shapes and curves. We have hundreds of fabrics to chose from as well as recommended suppliers. This is usually done if the item is in very poor, poor, or average condition (think about it most MCM furniture fits in this category as they are 50+ years old). The colours will be black and close to gold or teak golden brown (refer to original picture included). We are unable to finish this colour to exactly same as the original from 1960s as colour and timber changes over time. The aluminium legs will be resprayed back to gold colour as per original. The dials and plastics will be cleaned to remove dirt, grime and rust, however will not be resprayed. Any non-working hinges or other rusted parts such as screws etc will be changed as well.
