Refund policy
Vintage products have a previous life and show signs of use, so be pragmatic if you buy (or if we are restoring) these items. The full descriptions, photos and videos form part of the sale (refer to FAQ). VL will use discretion on this and have the overall decision making if you ask for a refund not the customer. If there are MAJOR faults or issues they will be listed in the description OR photos.
Refunds maybe granted if:
- Items guaranteed to be authentic is proven not to be AND/OR
- Has an obvious fault/damage that has not been advised in the description of the item OR video photos (whichever has the fault visible or listed) AND/OR
- Our restoration services was not delivered to scope or quality measures that we have articulated in the product description
Exceptions to the above: Items such as film cameras are not film tested but we offer a 7 day money back guarantee after you run a film through it within 7 days with proof of developed film to show us where the fault lies. All other audio visual equipment has been serviced and tested and therefore fall under the same banner refund policy here -> proof evidence will need to be provided within 7 days of where the fault lies. Some of the higher end audio & visual equipment we completely restore and service and offer a 30 day return policy (customer will need to for return shipping/postage) however they must explain how the fault occurred. If we find that the item was misused, not according to specification or manual we have the right to dismiss the return.
Long story short -> we provide items to the best condition as working as possible, if it works within 7 days then the item is most likely going to last much longer, however items (especially audio and visual) may potentially have components that naturally degrade over time, VL cannot be responsible for and is up to the buyer’s risk to accept as part of purchase (refer to restored condition definitions when making this decision and if in doubt ask us).
Legally (for 2nd hand items):
Customers cannot claim a refund for problems that:
– the store or seller told them about
– they should have noticed when examining the item
– were indicated in photos or the product description on the website
