Product Description Full:
A beautiful original Falcon chair that is as comfortable as floating on cloud nine. This exquisite looking hammock like chair is structurally very sound and can hold weight of up to 100kgs easily. This is an original chair by the Norwegian company that Sigurd Ressell started in the 70s. This is the wingback version which has side leather arms (detachable and wings to support the neck and back). This is a pre order so select your fabric and leather colour

Norwegian interior and industrial designer Sigurd Ressell (also spelled Resell) was particularly active during the 1950s and ‘60s and is best known for his collaboration with Vatne Møbler, which resulted in the iconic Falcon Chair in 1970

The cushion leather is in very good condition with no rips or tears. There are scratches consistent with age however these have been lathered in leather dark brown dye conditioner so the brown in the leather hides any old age scratches and imperfections which is expected of a 50 year old leather chair. Apart from a few age related marks the canvas hammock is in excellent conditoin as we reuploatet it new with no holes or tears. The buttons on the leather are secured and sewed tightly and has no affect on the comfort or cushion, Cushion leather is soft and supple with plenty of patina. Some small age related marks here and there on the legs bases.

Functional Condition:

The unique 4 teak wood legs in dark brown has been designed structurally to hold a heavy person (in a style of a hammock) as such there are no functional issues with the chair i.e no major wobbles, chips, dints etc, there are several scratches and minor dints consistent with age on the wood but does not affect the functional condition of the chair. The legs have been sanded and waxed X 2 in a natural oil wax finish, any dints have been filled with wax, putty or combination
