For the audiophile a super high quality 845 tube carefully made in the USA by Cetron in Geneva, Illinois with markings of 845, code 147 and 1-4. Recently tested and is used (not new) however refer to technical data and screen shot for further information. These can be used for your high end amplifier to achieve a sonic bliss or any other high end equipment as you see fit (including military use). Cetrons are very highly rated almost up with RCA’s. These are fare more superior than the common typical Chinese 845 tubes, especially one in this condition.

Glass is clean and clear (except slight discoloration in picture), tube is in great shape physically and sonically, a bit more extension and upper energy than other 845s and definitely a cut above any of the various Chinese 845 tubes incl 845B. Extremely well made, with rugged internal construction. Dead quiet as far as any humming, guaranteed as described, and closely matched on a curve tracer to 500v on the plate. This is a superb vintage 845, which do not come up for sale very often, we’ve tried them several amps and they sound terrific and work perfectly.

Very good to excellent: The tube has been slightly used it is fairly clean inside except a small burn/discoloration on one side of the rod, which is normal sign for the usage (refer to test results and functional condition). There are no major scratches or marks and definately no cracks in the glass

Functional Condition:

Excellent to mint: refer to screen shot of test results with testing parameters:
– Testing volts= 500 VDC
– Bias volts = -70 VDC
– Heater volts = 10VDC
– IQ of tube = 35 MA
The results have been tested in one of the labs and the graph is a datasheet from manufacturer where the red lines/reading shows the tube is behaving perfectly according to spec (regardless of hours or signs of use).
