A rare Kenwood KD500 turntable with a even rare SME series 3 tone arm in full working condition, in excellent next to mint condition. The previous owner has taken care of this beautiful piece (as seen by the pictures) with the direct-drive turntable a classic deck from an era when things were built to last! The Kenwood plinth is made from a synthetic marble, or granite, called ARCB, which makes the deck visually stunning and heavy. The sound quality and use is delight to use being a fully manual deck, you get to raise and lower the arm yourself, cueing the lead-in groove and returning the arm to rest at the end of a record. This is proper turntabling and, because it’s manual, nothing interferes with the tonearm with a sought after moving magnet cartridge and its ability to extract information from the groove.

Excellent to mint condition, there are some marks here and there, but the previous owner had this very well kept as per pictures. There is one noticeable small scratch on the lid but not all the way through or cracked
Functional Condition

Excellent to mint comes with stylus and cartridge, tonearm bearing are fine and moves back to original position (arm moves smoothly and has no play in the bearings), doesn't skip, arm base lock works, device damp and arm drops fine, Platter Bearings runs smoothly, Plugs no loose connections with no crackling or humming sounds. This is a USA type A power plug (two flat parallel pins) however can be used and was tested with a AUD adapter. A real beauty of vintage proportions
