Set of 10 Vintage 1960s Danish Deluxe "The Chair" Carvers

Video Link: Watch video highlights available in the above Shopify media gallery or Instagram link below

This incredibly rare, complete matching set of 10 carver armchairs was produced in Australia by Danish Deluxe during the 1960s. The design is an exact replica of Hans Wegner’s world-renowned 1949 masterpiece, "The Chair" (JH501/JH503). Rather than an official licensed reproduction, this suite is the result of a unique historical relationship: the founders of Danish Deluxe frequently traveled to Scandinavia, freely exchanging concepts and manufacturing ideas with local designers—a cross-pollination that brought both this chair and the famous 'Kilta' chair to the Australian mid-century market.

We have sold this exact model several times in the past. To demonstrate the finished quality of this set, one of the ten chairs has already been fully restored as a showroom display piece. The remaining nine chairs in the set share the exact same shape, model, and vintage framework, and will be fully restored to perfectly match the display model. You are welcome to view the restored chair in person at our workshop, or refer to the listing photos and video highlights to see the completed outcome.
