This Eames chair was manufactured exclusively by New Style Upholstery from 1960-1970s. With slight differences tonan original Eames chair by HM this design by Andrew Freeman has slight and better mechanics and design using a continuous improvement method from the original. This includes a back bracket, air vents on base, better fixtures between foam plates and cushions etc
The price advertised includes a full resotoration including new leather, sand, oil, polish etc
Note this is not an original Eames chair by Herman Miller, this is reproduced Australian version of the chair made in the 1970s-90s
Overall Condition:
9/10 - this is a pre order is this is our guess of the condition in the future state
Fabric/Upholster: 9/10: To keep the authenticity and value of this piece we will upholster it in black leather Italia soft leather along with the original design of 3 buttons per cushion as oxitured. There is an option to do another colour enquire within.
Legs/timber: 9/10: currently being restored and stripped, teak lovely colour, all major gaps or scratches will be filled with putty or filler and colour matched as close as possible
Functional Condition:
9/10: Excellent
