​Designed in 1963 by the visionary Italian industrial designer Joe Colombo, the "Elda" chair is a world-renowned icon of space-age design. Named after his wife Elda, it was one of the very first furniture pieces to utilize a self-supporting molded fiberglass shell, paired with a smooth 360^\circ rotating swivel base and plush individual leather cushion rolls.

​This is a 100% genuine vintage original from the 1960s–1970s era produced by Comfort Italy—not a modern reissue by Longhi. Authentic early editions by Comfort were produced without the heavy stamped metal badging seen on modern re-editions, preserving the clean, unmarred fiberglass shell profile.
