Pair Gerald Easden MCM teak restored armchairs rare genuine sleigh blue

Product Description Full:

A lovely pair of Gerald Easden original armchairs suspected from the late 1960s or early 1970s and has been through a full bottom up restoration. These MCM armchairs showcase a lovely side profile with comfortable button covers, low profile seating, original design headrests and lovely teak timber. These chairs are "heavy" duty meaning they have a wide and low profile and are very sturdy for larger/taller people (also due to the double layered webbing we used fit for heavier people which is different to your traditional lighter framed armchairs).

The fabric, foam and webbing is brand new hence in excellent condition. Restored with the sleigh legs sanded and oil waxed twice showing that lovely golden brown colour throughout. Fabric is new from Zepel "boucle" Cascade which is blue colour from mingle mangle range (matching the original fabric which was also in a blue colour).

Functional Condition:
9/10
Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the wood, does not rock, no structural damage evident, sturdy as she can get. The webbing is elastic and is a med to firm sitting and does not sink. The comfort/sitting is medium -> when you sit the cushions/foam is med-high density sit (excellent for larger/taller people).
