Parker armchair genuine 1960s restored MCM matching ottoman spice fabric
A genuine 1960s parker high back armchair with matching ottoman. The wood and grain has beautiful colors/mix of gold and brown throughout, featuring a solid teak wood (no rips or tears), new seat webbing, med to firm density foam on the bum, countour back and fully restored wood grain sanded and oil waxed several times for longer durability. Fabric chosen for this piece is a spice in the mingle mangle range from Zepel fabrics beautifully blends with the wood grain and super comfy. There is an option to reupholster to new fabric/color of your choice however this will incur an additional cost.
This rare and beautiful piece is part of the Parker range from the 1960s. Genuine Parker furniture is getting rarer by the day get yourself a piece of Australian history. An excellent addition to any Collector's living area.
Overall Condition:
This has been restored (with all marks and chips being filled with the closest color to the wax color), then sanded several times of different grits, in between several layers of oil based wax for longer durable wear. Please note that any gaps filled will show areas of difference between wood grain and puddy, however these are only noticeable on close inspection and blends in nicely with oil and wax color.
Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the wood, does not rock, no structural damage evident, sturdy as she can get. One of the legs on the ottoman has been reglued and has minor wear/show of glue
