Parker armchair genuine 1960s restored MCM matching ottoman mustard yellow
A genuine 1960s parker low line armchair with matching ottoman. Has beautiful colors/mix of gold and brown throughout, featuring a solid teak wood (no rips or tears), solid wood plank for firm sit, med to firm density foam, and fully restored wood grain sanded and oil waxed several times for longer durability. Fabric chosen for this piece is a yellow/mustard in polyester blend from Zepel fabrics and beautiful blend with the wood grain and super comfy. There is an option to reupholster to new fabric/color of your choice however this will incur an additional cost, there is an option for webbing to be installed if you like a less than firm sit (no additional cost)
This rare and beautiful piece is part of the Parker range from the 1960s. Genuine Parker furniture is getting rarer by the day get yourself a piece of Australian history. An excellent addition to any Collector's living area.
Overall Condition:
This has been restored (with all marks and chips being filled with the closest color to the wax color), then sanded several times of different grits, in between several layers of oil based wax for longer durable wear. Please note that any gaps filled will show areas of difference between wood grain and puddy, however these are only noticeable on close inspection and blends in nicely with oil and wax color.
Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the wood, does not rock, no structural damage evident, sturdy as she can get. One of the legs on the ottoman has been reglued and has minor wear/show of glue. The webbing is not elastic its a solid piece of wood so it is a firm sitting and does not sink (we can easily install medium or high density webbing upon request at no extra charge). The cushion/foam is original did not require new foam and is med density.
