Parker Sideboard Authentic Nordic 1960s “Cats Eyes” Vintage teak extra long in excellent restored condition. The original and still the most popular of all sideboards.

This rare and beautiful piece is part of the Parker Nordic range from the 1960s. This has been restored (filled any gaps, sanded and waxed with oil several times) for that Scandinavian golden brown look and feel.

Fondly known as “cats-eyes” because of their unique handles, they are the most instantly recognisable piece of Tony Parker’s Nordic Collection of 1961 (this one being the earlier version as it has green felt). Surfaced in Teak over firstly solid timber then ply and finally particle board. 4 door 4 drawer with felt in the top drawer for cutlery. Refer to URL for several videos for footage of condition.

Genuine Parker furniture is getting rarer by the day get yourself a piece of Australian history. Sideboard would be an excellent addition to any Collector's living area.

This has been fully restored sanded several times of different grits, in between several layers of oil based wax for longer durable wear (any marks and chips being filled with the closest colour to the wax colour). The inside drawer has green felt with the dividers which was originally designed for cutlery and crockery. There are several marks that have been glued and filled, as such please note that all gaps filled will show areas of difference between wood grain and putty, however these are only noticeable on close inspection and blends in nicely with oil and wax colour.

Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the wood, drawers open and close freely, this is a sturdy as she can get.
