A beautiful vintage postwar bamboo or wood cane womens carry folding basket that can be used as a bag. This Vintage midcentury baskets were used as fruit basket but also great for bread or pastries or general items

Suprisingly this basket has withstood the test of time as the strings are all in tact, with no rips or tears, as has the wooden cane (possible bamboo) with no mould or holes etc. There is a cute leather latch button on the top that secures the handle and is in very good condition, but I suspect this was installed post original purchase
