Restoration of antique dining table

Restoration services for this item include:

Scope of works:

one antique oval extendable dining table

- legs and base of the table to be stripped back and varnished or re- painted (strip, sand and either:

1) stain of your choice or

2) natural finish osmo (satin, or gloss)

3) shellac (clear or orange super high gloss)

Time to complete & deliver:

- best case 4 weeks

- worst case 12 weeks

- most likely 6 weeks

Mid to late Dec (can provide you a loan desk complimentary as this will take a while)

Out of scope:

- no very major structural work, small cracks and breaks we can repair but anything beyond that will be scope and we will notify you prior.

T&C:

There is a small risk that the timber frame may turn out much darker after the paint stripping, this is due to any previous chemicals/finishes that may have been used in the previous paints and/or primers (usually acid based finishes which is rare). Although this is a small risk and we've only seen it happen once VL cannot be held responsible for this and is accepted by the client.
