This beautiful Australian made two seater couch, which won Australian design Awards in the 1970’s, is crafted from veneer with solid Timber rails. Tessa T4, designed by Fred Lowen for Tessa Furniture, this model was released in the early 70s, features an appealing low profile, spacious seating, bent ply curved frame, netted hammock style sling and removable leather cushions you can expect a very comfortable and supportive seating experience it sits low and more of a comfortable hammock feeling. If you like a sinking couch but firm with a leather feel then these chairs are for you. This is super comfy however you can also tighten the net to have a firmer/tighter sit. This lovely mid century modern is techincally a two seater couch and sits quite wide however it almost feels like a 3 seater and easliy fits 3 people. Has been fully restored including many hours and bled fingers to restore all cushions in new Italian leather. We believe the plywood is the teak version (but darker wood one we also have the exact same one in same leather in golden version) and features lovely curves, nylon netting, two armrests (which is the earlier version from 70s) and the classic curves that Tessa is renowned for.

PLEASE NOTE: We have the matching T4 sling pair x 2 armchairs separately in another advertisement, however this advertisement (and price) is for both 2 seater couch only, there is an option to buy the whole set (Pair of armchairs and 2 seater couch). As above we also have the frame in a golden color version (with same brown tan leather). Also worthy of note is although there are a number of T4 Tessa suites out there are very very few who do full restorations especially in this leather, most of the other ones have severe degrading leather and foam, these are fully restored with new leather and very comfortable sit, these will last another 50 years!)

Frame/wood is an 8/10 there are some chips to plywood which has been filled in to the closest color as the brown teak color (refer to pics and videos)
Cushions: 9/10: brand new italian leather for cushions, the straps and armrests have also been upholstered, this took many days to upholster but we are so happy with the comfort, look and feel of the upholstery. The leather we sourced was the same supplier that Tessa used directly in the latter years of their business.

Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the wood. No cracks sturdy and strong, these are super comfy if you like a slight sinking feeling like a hammock, however you can also tighten the net to have a firmer sit
